PCYCs have been at the forefront of youth development for over 50 years.  We are committed to our Vision of "Improving Communities Through Youth Development".  PCYCs are a self funded charity.  The Queensland Police Service provides one Sergeant of Police to manage each of the clubs statewide.  The management of the club is overseen by a volunteer management committee made up of members of the community.

Hi, my name is Marty Hunt.  I'm a Sergeant of Police and the Branch Manager of the Sunshine Coast Police Citizens Youth Club.

I have worked in the Police Service for over 20 years, and I have seen the results of neglected and abused young people becoming involved in drugs, crime and anti-social activities.  Through sport and recreation activities plus cultural and welfare programs we give young people an environment where they can grow and gain the confidence and self esteem necessary to become an asset to their communities.

I enjoy the interaction I can have with the young people in a positive environment as a Police Officer and friend.  At the PCYCs you can be confident that your children are in a safe and friendly environment.  Come in and see me or our friendly staff any time and we will discuss what activities would suit you or your children.
